1. About Tudlo and these terms

Tudlo is an independent online English tutoring service operated by Aivy Fundar Ylanan of Prosperidad Agusan del Sur Philippines. You can contact us at support.tudlo@gmail.com.

In these terms, “you” or the “Client” is the person who books lessons; the “Learner” is the person taught, who may be the same person. By booking a consultation, trial or lesson you accept these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t book.

If the Learner is under 18, the Client must be the Learner’s parent or legal guardian and is responsible for the booking, for payment, and for the Learner’s conduct during lessons.

2. The service

Tudlo provides live, one-to-one online English lessons by video call, along with consultations and learning-plan support. Lessons are given in English by a tutor, on a schedule agreed with you.

We help learners improve their English and prepare for exams, but we do not guarantee any particular score, grade, exam result or other outcome — progress depends on the Learner’s effort, starting level and attendance.

3. Booking and when a contract forms

The usual steps are:

  1. You send an enquiry through the website.
  2. We offer a consultation to understand the Learner’s needs.
  3. We propose a plan (programme, number of lessons, schedule, price).
  4. You confirm and, where payment applies, pay.
  5. We send you a written booking confirmation.

A contract between you and Tudlo is formed only when we send that confirmation. We may decline or cancel a booking — for example if we have no suitable tutor or slot, if payment isn’t completed, or because of conduct covered in section 10 — and where we do, we refund any sums you have paid for lessons not yet delivered.

4. Trial lessons

A trial lesson FREE and is intended to check that Tudlo is a good fit. One trial per Learner unless we agree otherwise.

5. Fees and payment

  • Prices are quoted in 20 euros per class/50 minutes. The price quoted at the time of booking applies to that booking.
  • Payment is due in advance of each lesson. Accepted payment methods: Paypal or Wise.
  • Lesson packages may be offered at a discounted rate. How unused lessons in a package are treated is set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • If a payment fails or is reversed, we may pause lessons until it is resolved.
  • You are responsible for any taxes, bank charges or currency- conversion fees applied on your side.

6. Scheduling, rescheduling and missed lessons

  • Lesson times are in PH Time Zone - UTC/GMT +8 hours unless we agree otherwise, and are shown to you at booking.
  • You can reschedule free of charge with at least 24 hours notice.
  • If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or don’t attend, the lesson is treated as delivered and is not refunded or credited (see the Refund Policy).
  • If the Learner is more than 15 minutes late, the tutor may end the session; it still counts as delivered.
  • If Tudlo or the tutor cancels a lesson, you may choose a free reschedule or a full refund of that lesson.

7. Technology you need

You need a stable internet connection, a device with a working camera and microphone, and the agreed video-call app. If a lesson can’t go ahead because of a problem on our side, we reschedule or credit it. A problem solely on your side (for example your internet or device) is treated as a delivered lesson.

8. Your right to cancel (consumers in the EEA and the UK)

If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, you have 14 days from the date of our booking confirmation to cancel the contract for any reason.

  • If no lessons have been delivered, we refund you in full within 14 days.
  • If you asked us to start lessons within the 14-day period, you may still cancel, but you must pay a proportionate amount for the lessons (and consultation time) already delivered up to the moment you tell us to stop. We refund the balance.
  • Once every lesson in the booking has been delivered within the 14 days, the right to cancel is used up.

How to tell us, and the full detail, is in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Nothing elsewhere in these terms removes this right.

9. Cancellations, refunds and complaints

Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If something goes wrong, email support.tudlo@gmail.com; we aim to reply within 5 working days.

10. Conduct and safeguarding

  • Treat the tutor with respect. Abusive, discriminatory, harassing or threatening behaviour ends the lesson immediately and may end the arrangement without a refund.
  • For Learners under 18: a parent or guardian must be contactable throughout each lesson and he/she must be present in or near the room. The Client is responsible for supervising the Learner’s use of the device and video app.
  • Neither side may record a lesson (audio, video or screen) without the other side’s prior written consent.
  • Don’t share lesson links or invite additional people to a session without our agreement.

11. Intellectual property

Worksheets, lesson plans, slides, recordings and other materials that Tudlo provides are owned by Tudlo or its licensors. They are licensed to you for the Learner’s personal, non-commercial study only. You may not copy, resell, publish, share or adapt them, or use them to run your own classes.

12. Feedback and testimonials

If you give us feedback, we may ask your permission to quote it. We only publish a testimonial that identifies you — by name, photo or your words — with your consent, and you can withdraw that consent for future use at any time by emailing us.

13. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law — including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of opportunity; and
  • our total liability in connection with any booking is limited to the fees you paid for that booking in the 3 months before the claim arose.

14. Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect — including, in the EU and UK, that a service is carried out with reasonable care and skill. The mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply to you.

15. Force majeure

Neither side is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control (for example power or internet outages, serious illness, or natural events). Lessons affected by such an event are rescheduled or refunded.

16. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for future bookings. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when you booked. If a material change affects an ongoing package, we’ll tell you by email, and you may cancel the undelivered part for a refund if you don’t accept the change.

17. General

If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest of these terms still apply. If we don’t enforce a term, that isn’t a waiver of it. You may not transfer your booking to someone else without our agreement. These terms, with the Privacy Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy, are the whole agreement between us.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Philippines, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EEA, the UK or Korea, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
